Negative taken for July 2, 1965, Arkansas Gazette article "Girl Scouts to Dedicate Nature Trail to Brownie" B1:2. In the woods around Lake Sylvia, Perry County, Arkansas, local Girl Scouts helped construct a new nature trail, based on an idea of Elaine Butler, a Girl Scout from North Little Rock, Pulaski County, Arkansas. The trail is dedicated to the memory of Emilie Wagner, a Brownie Scout who died in 1964. Throughout the trail, there are markers to indicate species of vegetation and other living things. These are used to keep visiting Girl and Brownie Scouts informed of their surroundings.
